Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

ScrollShow is a macOS app for TikTok slideshow research. It runs on your Mac and keeps your research library on our servers behind your login. This policy explains what we hold, what stays on your Mac, and who helps us run the service.

2. Information We Collect

We hold:

• Your account: name, email and password (stored hashed, never in plain text), or your Google name, email and avatar if you sign in with Google
• What you tell us when you set up: your product or app link, your niche and the answers you give about your goals
• Your research library: the public TikTok accounts, posts, slides, comments and numbers the app collects for you, and your collections
• Your conversations with the assistant, and the memory it keeps about your product and preferences
• Records of your runs and of how much of the assistant's allowance you use
• Purchase records from Stripe: identifiers, plan, amounts and subscription status
• Messages and feedback you send us
• Usage events and error reports, described in section 7

We do not collect card numbers. Payments run through Stripe, and card details never reach us.

3. What Stays on Your Mac

The app's own browser keeps its TikTok and Proton sessions on your Mac. If you ask it to remember the logins of your research accounts, their email and password are encrypted with your Mac's keychain and stored only on your Mac; they are never sent to us. The app does not write your research to files on your disk: it lives in your library on our servers.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use what we collect to:

• Sign you in and give you the plan you bought
• Run your searches, downloads and analyses, and keep your library in sync
• Answer you in the assistant with your product, niche and research in mind
• Handle purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds
• Send account emails, such as verifying your address or resetting your password
• Answer your messages, fix problems and improve the app

5. The Assistant

When you use the assistant in the app (Pro), your message, the research it needs to answer and its memory of your product are sent to OpenRouter, which passes them to the AI model provider that writes the answer. Those providers handle the data under their own policies. We do not use your data to train AI models.

6. Your Own Agents

If you connect your own agent, such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex or Cursor, it reaches ScrollShow through a connection that stays on your Mac and reads the results you ask for. What the agent then does with them is governed by its provider's policy (Anthropic, OpenAI or Cursor), not ours.

7. Analytics and Error Reports

On this website we use DataFast and PostHog to understand traffic and how visitors reach a purchase. PostHog may record how a visit moves through the site, with anything typed masked.

The app sends usage events to PostHog, such as which screens and tools are used and how runs end, and error reports to Sentry when something breaks. These carry counts and outcomes, not your keywords, the accounts you research or the content of your chats, and error reports are stripped of passwords and other secrets.

8. Payments

Payments run entirely through Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep the records Stripe returns, such as identifiers, plan, amount and subscription status, so we can give you your plan and handle renewals and refunds.

9. Service Providers

We rely on a few services to run ScrollShow:

• Supabase, which stores your account and research library
• Railway, which hosts our website and servers
• Stripe for payments
• Google for Google sign-in
• Resend for account emails
• OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to, for the assistant
• PostHog and DataFast for analytics, and Sentry for error reports

Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Some of them process data in the United States.

10. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your research library or your conversations for advertising, and we do not share them with anyone beyond the services listed above.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account, purchases, library and conversations for as long as you use ScrollShow. To delete everything, email yassr@scroll.show and we will delete your account, library and conversations. We may keep purchase records where the law requires it. What the app keeps on your Mac, such as saved logins, you can remove in Settings or by deleting the app.

12. Your Rights

You can:

• Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it or delete it
• Ask any question about how your data is handled

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version, and we tell you about important changes.
